Waterproof test
A hydrostatic head tester puts shell fabric under water pressure, to confirm the waterproof level required for an outer layer.
We make waterproof shell jackets and rain coats, including 3-in-1 styles where the outer shell and the zip-in liner are developed and graded together.
Shell fabric is tested in our own test room. A hydrostatic head tester confirms the waterproof level, and a tensile tester measures the strength of the fabric and the stitched seams.
Fabric and finished garments are tested in our factory before bulk production and during the run. These are the tests that matter most for this range.

A floor-standing test machine pulls fabric and seam samples until they break, and measures the strength of shell fabric and stitched seams.
Domestic and industrial washing machines run wash cycles on fabric and finished garments. We check shrinkage, seam condition and appearance after washing.
